Umar Munish Associates [Pakistan] in Association with Advanced Engineering Solutions Limited [Tanzania] has been by the Tanzania National Roads Agency [TANROADS] on Behalf of Ministry of works on 10TH JUNE, 2019 for CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR FEASIBILITY STUDY, ENVIRONMENTAL & SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMEN, DETAILED ENGINEERING DESIGN AND PREPARATION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A BRIDGE AND ITS APPROACH ROADS TO BYPASS MTERA DAM AND THE BABATI TOWN BYPASS(15.5KM) TO BITUMEN STANDARD. CONTRACT No. TRD/HQ/1084/2018/19Description Road improvement is part of the Government Strategy to develop its road network to support socio- economic development in the country. For those reasons the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania with Funding from African Development Bank [AfDB] intends to Design a Bridge and Its Approach Road to bypass Mtera Dam and the Babati Town bypass [15.5 Km] to Bitumen Standard. The Construction of New Mtera Bridge will allow traffic to cross the Mtera Reservoir safely and without queuing for crossing [the proposed New Bridge will be two lanes]. The Construction of Babati Town Aims to remove heavy trucks which now pass through Babati Town leading to traffic congestion within the town and safety hazard to non- motorized traffic. By construction bypass road will improve the safety and eliminate congestion of traffic at babati Town
